1. average speed = V = s/t (definition) 2. useful inferences Vt2-Vo2 = 2As

Note:
(1) the average speed is a vector;
(2) the object is very large and the acceleration is not necessarily large;
(3) a= (Vt-Vo) /t is just a measure, not a decision;
