A multi- factor quasi-experimental quantitative study method is adopted in this one-year study. The TEMA-2 and PPVT-R are used as pre-and-post tests. An experimental adoption of the High/Scope curriculum and the place- based cultural activities is conducted. The results of study are as follows: 1. The High/Scope curriculum increases the mathematics ability of young children. 2. The learning of indigenous language and culture does not decrease their language and mathematics abilities.
