锂肾病(Lithium nephropathy) Disease classification Nephrology [return] disease overview Lithium nephropathy (lithium, nephropathy) is caused by the renal damage caused by lithium preparations. Acute lithium poisoning can present psychiatric and neuromuscular symptoms, including apathy, slow reaction, tremors, rigidity and ataxia, and may occur in conscious disturbances and coma. Acute lithium poisoning can cause acute renal failure and multiple renal lesions, including chronic tubulointerstitial disease, renal dysfunction, diabetes insipidus and concentrated incomplete distal renal tubular acidosis, progressive tubulointerstitial disease, distal tubule vesicles form, acute renal failure. [return] disease description Lithium nephropathy (lithium, nephropathy) is caused by the renal damage caused by lithium preparations. As early as 1876, Garrod noted that lithium had side effects leading to polyuria, while Hanlon reported a severe nephrotoxicity that could lead to fatal consequences. Many reports of lithium induced acute renal failure followed, but most were only aware of the acute reversible renal impairment of lithium preparations. Earlier reports of chronic renal damage caused by lithium preparations were observed in 1977. [return] symptoms and signs Acute lithium poisoning can present psychiatric and neuromuscular symptoms, including apathy, slow reaction, tremors, rigidity and ataxia, and may occur in conscious disturbances and coma. Acute lithium poisoning can cause acute renal failure and multiple renal lesions, including chronic tubulointerstitial disease, renal dysfunction, diabetes insipidus and concentrated incomplete distal renal tubular acidosis, progressive tubulointerstitial disease, distal tubule vesicles form, acute renal failure. ADH resistant urine concentrating dysfunction, but reversible, is common in more than 50% of patients who have long been treated with lithium. Around 20% of the cases can have polyuria. 85% patients who received long-term lith
