Production practice of refining aluminum steel by argon blowing

Abstract :The present paper introduces how to solve the influence of the deoxidizing products
Al O on quality of liquid steel and castability in the process of casting by optimization of deoxi-

dization process and application of Ca treatment and realize consistent production of Al steel by
converter-argon blow-continuous casting process route and thus tension of production of
brand steeel by LF is relieved and the production cost is reduced as well without affecting the
product quality in the over moded section of the steel making plants of Chongqing iron ＆ Steel
Co． ，ltd．
