Ｒeading-based English Writing Instruction from Theories and Practice

It is an undeniable fact that reading and writing are interrelated and interdependent． And reading-based writing instruction is
considered helpful in improving English learners writing skills ，but this belief has not been effectively put into practice in English
class． This paper ，thus ，systematically examines the theoretical and practical research findings concerning the mutual impact of
reading and writing ，and probes into some of the problems in the previous researches in our country ，so as to examine the under-
lying causes of the ineffective reading-writing integration in teaching practice．
