Abstract: T his paper describes thread galling of tubing and casing, interprets the mechanism of
galling . Optimized parameters of tubing and casing thread, research and development of thread-
compound grease and lubricant coating, surface treatment and the operation of makeup and break-
out are summarized. T he development trends of ant-i galling technology are pointed out.
