Based on the analysis on present situation and limitation factors on purple hilly land near Chongqing
city countermeasures for ecoagriculture construction were put forward: to harness water andsoil run
off by popularizing tillagel; to improve water conservantion facilities against disaster; to exploit syn
thesis skills for small cathments; to develop vertical ecoagriculture; to apply dry tillage water saving
irrigation technology; to combine plant, breeding and gas production together; and to combine agri
culture with tourism.
