料(II) 立 逸 林金 說 力 度數 率 了 益 來 不 更 年度 行 來臨 裡 了 不 北 行 The Taiwan Rapid Earthquake Information Release System (TREIRS) has been developed by the Central Weather Bureau to timely identify the epicenters and 153 magnitudes upon the occurrence of earthquakes. The design objective of TREIRS is to provide quick and reliable responses to earthquakes, thereby minimizing property damage and loss of lives in the shaking locations. The original design of TREIRS operated on the platform of MS-DOS, 16-bit environment, in 1994. It was out-of-date due to its lack of friendly GUI. Besides, its expansion to any extra service is very expansive. TREIRS was modified by the EE Department of NTU last year. The developed system is a 32-bit Windows GUI program which is user-friendly and more stable. The functions provided by the TREIRS include a graph display, a file storage mechanism, and an earthquake detection module.
