Thixotropic forming technology is generally used for aluminum silicon alloy raw materials, such as A356 and A357. This paper describes the thixotropic experiment of Hypoeutectic gray iron semi-solid type and the corresponding final microstructure. The alloy is cast in traditional sand mould.
