上海市空调设备安装使用管理规定（Provisions on the installation, use and management of air conditioning equipment in Shanghai） Provisions of Shanghai Municipality on the installation, use and administration of air conditioning equipment (promulgated in April 26, 1995 and revised in December 13, 2007) Provisions on the installation, use and management of air conditioning equipment in Shanghai (promulgated by Decree No. second of the peoples Government of Shanghai on April 26, 1995, revised and re promulgated according to order No. fifty-third of the peoples Government of Shanghai in December 14, 1997, revised by Decree No. seventy-ninth of the Shanghai Municipal Peoples Government in December 13, 2007) Article 1 (purpose and basis) These Regulations are formulated in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations, and in light of the actual conditions of this Municipality, in order to protect public safety, maintain the amenity of the city and protect the environment. Second (definitions) Air conditioning equipment as defined in these Provisions refer to window type air-conditioners, outdoor unit of air conditioner, air conditioner outdoor unit, outdoor units of central air conditioning system, cold (hot) water units and other auxiliary equipment and mounting bracket. Article third (scope of application) The provisions shall be applicable to the installation, use and supervision and management of air conditioning equipment within the scope of this municipality. Fourth (Management) The municipal construction and Communications Commission and the district and county construction departments shall be responsible for the supervision and administration of the installation, use and construction of air conditioning equipment in newly built houses. The city premises Resources Bureau and the district and county premises departments are responsible for the supervision and management of the safety protection during the installation and use of air conditioning equipment.
