Department of Safety, Tangshan Stainless Steel Co., Ltd, Tangshan 063009, China) Abstract: To reduce the risk of coal and gas outburst hazard, this study evaluates the risk of coal and gas outburst at various sites in an underground coal mine using gray comprehensive evaluation method. The evaluation demonstrates that gas pressure, initial speed of methane diffusion, coal consistent coefficient, and coal destruction type can be regarded as main indexes to describe the risk of coal and gas outburst. Using the gray comprehensive evaluation method, the study orders the risk of outburst hazard at various locations in an underground coal mine.
