Clinical and quality of life studies on treatment of female delayed acne vulgaris with ZiShenQingGan Decoction Specialty：Dermatology, Surgery of TCM Author ：LiuLi Tutor：Professor Zhang Xiaojie Abstract Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of ZiShenQingGan (ZSQG) decoction in treating female delayed acne vulgaris (FDAV), to evaluate the variation of the quality of life before and after treatment. Methods:78 cases with FDAV recruited was divided into two groups randomly, FDAV decoction group of 40 persons, as compared with DanShenTong(DST) group of 40 persons, 8 weeks as a course ．Before and after treatment, side effect were observed and the clinical therapeutic effect of the two treatments were observed and compared ．A acne specific questionnaire was used to assess outpatients with acne vulgaris before and after treatment ． Results ：Logistic regression shows that clinical severity and patient-reported severity both were correlated to quality of life in three domains ． The cure rate in the treated group and the control group was 65.00% and 42.11% respectively, comparison between them showed insignificant difference ．After treatment, the self-perception, role-emotional function, role-social function in the both groups had significant changes(p0.05),the treatment group bring better than the control group(p0.05) ．Conclusion：ZSQG therapy has reliable efficacy , low recurrence rate and side effect on female delayed acne vulgaris ．Acne impacts quality of patients ′ life ．Self-feeling should be considered in assessing and treating acne． Key words female delayed acne vulgaris ，quality of life, therapy of TCM，clinical research
