Abs tract: Structure of heliostat is unusua l and different from common ones. A 3D w ind load test of heliosta t in w ind
tunne lw as carried out u sing surface pressure m easuring techno logy and the d istribution o f m ean w ind pressure and
fluctuat ing w ind pressure at m easured po ints o fm irrors surface was obtained wh ile w ind d irection ang le varied from
0 to 180and elevat ion ang le varied from 0to 90. The resu lts show that the w ind load pow er spectrum changes
w ith long itud inalw ind turbu lence vortex and is related w ith Strouhal number; the fluctua ting w ind pressures at
face and back show posit ive correlat ion m a inly and the correlation coefficients in case o f long itudina lw ind direction
are less than those in case o f lateral d irection; the fluctuating w ind pressures preferab ly m eet G aussian distribution
for sm aller elevat ion ang le w ind d irection angle.
