打造低碳竞争优势（Build a low carbon competitive advantage） Build a low carbon competitive advantage On the eve of the Copenhagen climate change conference last year, our country put forward the goal of reducing carbon dioxide emissions per unit of GDP by 40% - 45% from 2005 to 2020. This is different from the absolute reduction of carbon emissions from developed countries, but rather the relative reduction in carbon intensity of gdp. With the rapid economic growth, Chinas carbon dioxide emissions will increase reasonably, but its growth rate will be much lower than the growth rate of gdp. This is a strategic choice for China to co-ordinate domestic sustainable development and respond to global climate change. It conforms to Chinas national conditions and the principle of common but differentiated responsibilities. Low carbon economy is the fundamental way to cope with climate change Low carbon economy is a kind of economic development model with low natural resource consumption, low emission and low pollution, higher productivity of resources, higher level of economic and social development and better quality of life. At the heart of climate change is the mitigation of anthropogenic greenhouse gas emissions, mainly carbon dioxide emissions from fossil energy consumption. The growing energy demand for economic growth and the sharp reduction of carbon dioxide emissions constitute a sharp contradiction, and the development of a low-carbon economy has become the only way to cope with climate change in the framework of sustainable development. Low carbon economy is a kind of economic development model with low natural resource consumption, low emission and low pollution, higher productivity of resources, higher level of economic and social development and better quality of life.
