Based on the influencing factors such as the main context of urban planning and the order of regulations and policies, the paper divides the developing stage into four periods and generalizes the characteristic of each period. After analyzing the tendency of town planning, the paper obtains the tendency of diversification, regionalization, technicalization and ordering. At the same time, the paper reflects on the economic supports, the system supports, ideological changes and connotation excavation of town planning in practice from the perspective of implementation.
