[Abstract] Based on the analysis of the personality characteristics and the main needs of knowledge workers, this paper designs a personalized salary system for knowledge workers to overcome the rigidity of the traditional salary system.

I. what is knowledge worker?
1. knowledge worker characteristics
Knowledge worker, also called knowledge worker, refers to those who master and use symbols and concepts, and use knowledge or information to work. Generally speaking, knowledge workers refer to employees who rely on knowledge and use knowledge to work. Compared with ordinary employees, knowledge workers have the following characteristics: (1) autonomy; (2) objective; (3) challenging; (4) liquidity.
2., the main demand of knowledge workers
Because of the characteristics of knowledge workers, they form a unique way of thinking, emotional expression and demand characteristics. Especially with the continuous progress of society, the demand of knowledge workers is becoming more personalized and diversified, mainly in four aspects: salary, personal development, work achievement and work autonomy.
Two, the design of personalized salary system for knowledge workers
1. personalized salary system
Traditional salary is divided into three parts: salary, bonus and welfare. The traditional compensation mechanism is fundamentally to enterprise oriented rigid salary system in incentive target is single, the means is scarce, the effect is not obvious, not really mobilize staff enthusiasm and initiative innovation.
