Based on the analysis o f a ch aeal 16S RNA genes, th e b oad dist ibut ion and ich abundance of th e non-the moph ilic Crenarchaeota m ay cont ibute to the ca bon and n it ogen cycles, indicating thei potential oles in the g lob al ene gy cycles.
