But this techno ogy may bring view ing discomfort and various image distortions such as depth p ane curvature, depth non- inearity and so on . To ana yze the origins, characteristics and re ations of these perceptua issues, w e investigated the stereoscopic distortion mode and the comfortab e view ing zone. This paper f irst summarized and compared three diff erent conf igurations of the disparity- based stereoscopic video capturing system s, and focused on the para e configuration system . The geometry of stereoscopic camera and disp ay system s w as presented . The mapping re ationship , know n as the distortion mode , betw een the camera space and the view ing
