The ma ing and oviposi ing behavior w as also observed in f ield and labora ory.Each female can ma e immedia ely af er emergence and had several diff eren from males in w hole life.The dura ion of ma ing usually las ed for (82.5±34.8) min (n=15).In his process, he male a rac ed o he f emale firs , before he male coupled w i h he female.The compe i ive behavior among ma ing males of P.pectoralis w as ubiqui ous.The longevi y of he f emale adul las ed for (8.87±2.06)d (n=30 ), and he average number of eggs w as (72.0 3±34.38)(n=30)a (25 ±2 )℃.The 2 o al number of eggs laid by ma ed female w as correla ed wi h f emale s ini ial mass (y =235.28x-20.38, R = 0.72 8 3, df =43, P0.01), and he percen age of he egg laid everyday w as also correla ive o he day-age (y= -0.914 8x 2 1.533 9e , R =0.99 8 7, df =5, P0.0 1).The resul of f ac or analysis showed ha morphological and physiological fac ors, influenced mainly f emale fecundi y.
