This article reviews the history, treatment methods, side effects and prognostic factors of acute optic neuritis treated with glucocorticoids, so as to evaluate its therapeutic significance. No significant changes in visual papilla or edema were observed in [1]. Depending on the site of the disease, optic neuritis (neuropapillitis) and retrobulbar neuritis (retrobularneuritis) can be divided into two categories. Optic neuritis is more common in young adults and children, accounting for 86% of patients under 40 years of age. The disease decreased rapidly after 1 to 2wk, and the vision of 1Mo increased gradually after the disease, [2].
