However, these drugs can cause further damage to the already weakened heart. Therefore, researchers have been looking for other more effective and fewer side effects to improve myocardial ischemia. The drug was developed by the US Syntex company in the late 1980s. In 2003, a new clinical application was submitted to the US FDA by CV Therapeu- tics and approved in September 2003 for clinical trials of new drugs. It is expected to be an adjuvant drug for the treatment of chronic stable angina pectoris recommended by the American Heart Association and the American Heart Association (ACC-AHA).
