Methods the lumbar spinal cord ischemia injury model was made by selective occlusion of lumbar artery. 32 rabbits were randomly divided into control group, ischemia 30, 60 and 90 min group. Jacobs method was used to evaluate the hindlimb function of rabbits, and the Reuter method was used to assess the sensory motor reflex function of the spinal cord. Results at 1 D, the rabbits were paralyzed by ischemia for 30 min, ischemia 60, 90 min, all rabbits (8/8) developed complete paraplegia. The change trend of Reuter score was ischemia 90 min group ischemia 60 min group ischemia 30 min group control group. Conclusion selective occlusion of lumbar artery blood flow at 30, 60 and 90 min can simulate mild, moderate and severe spinal cord ischemia reperfusion injury in different degrees. This model is an ideal model for spinal cord ischemia injury. Methods The ischemic injury model of spinal cord was created by the selective occlusion of lumbar arteries in 32 rabbits which were, randomly and equally divided into four groups, i.e. control group, ischemia for 30 minutes, ischemia for 60 minutes and ischemia for 90 minutes. The function of hind extremities was evaluated by the Jacobs method; an
