Terms relating to mooring lines A ship is made fast to the quayside by mooring lines. The standard mooring lines are shown above. They consist of a headline; a breast line and a back spring forward, a stern line, a breast line and a back spring aft. Any of these lines may be doubled. Each line had a large eye spliced in the end. The eye is placed over a bollard on the quayside. If there is another line already on the bollard, the eye of the second line should be taken up through the eye of the first line before placing it over the bollard. This makes it possible for either line to be let go first. 第二章、标准船舶口令 Chapter II Standard Orders on Board Vessel 1、标准舵令 Standard Wheel Orders 舵工对所有舵令均要复诵。值班驾驶员应确保舵令正确、迅速地得以执行。舵令在被撤销以前均应执行。如果船舶对舵令无反应，舵工应立即报告。如果担心舵工注意力不集中，可向他询问：“什么首向？”他应回答：“首向……度”。 The helmsman should repeat all wheel orders given and the officer on watch should ensure that they are carried out correctly and immediately. All wheel orders should be held until countermanded. The helmsman should report immediately if the vessel does not answer the wheel. When there is concern that the helmsman is inattentive she/he should be questioned: What is your course? And she/he should respond: My course ... degrees. This is a reminder to the helmsman to mind your helm. Orders and meanings 舵令 ORDER 含义 MEANING 1). 正舵 Midships 舵保持在船首尾线位置上 Rudder to be held in the fore and aft position. 2). 左舵/右舵5 Port/ Starboard five 舵保持在左5°/右5°位置上 5° of port / starboard rudder to be held. 3). 左舵10 Port/ Starboard ten 舵保持在左10°/右10°位置上 10° of port/ starboard rudder to be held. 4). 左舵15 Port/ Starboard fifteen 舵保持在左15°/右15°位置上 15° of port/ starboard rudder to be held. 5). 左舵20 Port / Starboard twenty 舵保持在左20°/右20°位置上 20° of port / starboard rudder to be held. 6). 左舵25 Port/ Starboard twenty-five 舵保持在左25°/右25°位置上 25° of port/ starboard rudder to be
