A total of 421 community postmenopausal women were examined with dual energy X-ray scanning of the lumbar spine, and bone quality was measured. The quality of life and TCM syndrome types were investigated by using the SF-36 quality of life questionnaire and the TCM questionnaire. The results showed that the incidence of osteoporosis in 421 postmenopausal women was 60%, similar to that in the literature. The quality of life in postmenopausal osteoporosis patients is lower than that in non osteoporosis patients. Found in the investigation of TCM syndromes in the pathogenesis of the kidney deficiency group of women was the highest, up to 73.3%, followed by the heart, liver and spleen deficiency, the incidence rate was 58.6%, 54.5% and 39.2%, the incidence of qi deficiency, yin deficiency, blood stasis, deficiency rate is higher, respectively 36.4%, 32.3%, 20.2%, 18.8%, and the incidence of lung deficiency, blood deficiency rate is relatively low, less than 10%.
