Value chain analysis company core competencies
The value chain analysis is a popular systematic analysis tool in strategic management of enterprises, enterprises can use this tool to pick out those who need to constantly update and maintain or develop and create value competition ability. The value chain has three meanings: first, there are links between the activities of enterprises, such as raw material supply planning, timeliness and coordination and enterprise production are closely linked; second, every activity can bring tangible and intangible value, such as the service value chain, if need to pay close attention to good customer service or customer service, can improve the credibility of enterprises, brings the enterprise intangible value promotion; third, not only including the chain activities within the enterprise, including enterprise external activities, such as supplier contact, the relationship with customers. Each activity in the value chain has its own operating costs and assets, so the cost of each activity is affected by the amount of assets allocated and the efficiency of use. If the total cost of all activities in an enterprise value chain is less than the cost of competitors, it has a cost advantage. And if this advantage can be maintained, so that competitors can not easily imitate, it has strategic significance.
