Thanks to the open movement philosophy, emphasis is placed on collaboration as an end user to adapt and improve the product, unlike most commercial software adopted by the closed development approach and encouraged. This collaboration represents an error that is often more quickly discovered and repaired than proprietary software, and the development of open source models has led to many of the most successful and widely used software around today. It should be noted that while many open source projects are available to end users without any cost, such as the Free Software Foundation (FSF) proponents define freedom means free distribution and change it. Therefore, the long-term open source licensing model, covering some of which allow a package, a part of the market, is listed as an open source project, while others (such as the GNU general public license) requirements, any derivative works under the same conditions, which in turn makes them free to use modify and distribute.
