大品牌爱上社交游戏(Big brands fall in love with social games)
There is no doubt that social gaming is rapidly growing into a vast marketing fertile ground. It is not just a fun online game, but also a social networking site for interaction between users, both of which combine two to attract individuals, and the latter to shape communities.
There are not only social networks, but also social games. From fast-food brands McDonalds to software giant Microsoft, from car maker Honda to chain convenience store 7-11, the worlds major brands have cast their eyes on it and coveted the fertile soil of marketing that is expanding. Social games with online games and social network characteristics of the double, not only has the enterprise salivating at the huge user base, but also because of the novelty greatly reduce the consumers psychological conflict, promote interaction between brand and customers, creating memorable consumer experience, the formation of word of mouth effect, which contains huge business opportunities. EMarketer, an American market research firm, expects social gaming spending to rise by 20% this year to $220 million.
Big brands move into social games
In October, McDonalds announced its partnership with FarmVille, a social game developer, Zynga, to create a unique McDonalds farm. By participating in game activities, users receive a reward called FarmVille McCafe Consumable. With this award, players can also get McDonalds hot air balloon props to make up their farms in addition to speeding up the game. Through this cooperation, McDonalds will be more exposure, because according to Inside Network data, FarmVille single month players as high as 60 million, is the most popular Zynga game.
Similar attempts at Zynga have never been the first. As early as March this year, Microsoft has been working with FarmVille, successfully launched a face Facebook users brand promotion activities. Microsoft promises to be a F V m i l l e game farm currency as long as it becomes a fan
