Abstract NOx are major pollutants in the atmosphere, and 90～95% of NOx which come from the burning of fossil fuels are NO . NO is insoluble in water, so it is difficult to remove it with wet process denitration technique. The catalytic oxidation of NO is the reaction between O2 and NO existing in flue gas which takes place on the surface of catalyst. As the result of this reaction, NO is oxidated to NO . Catalytic Oxidation of 2 NO technique has two aspects in application in the field of flue gas denitrification: The one is in the fast SCR process , Catalytic Oxidation of NO is the intermediate reaction.The other is in the oxidation-absorbed technique. NO is converted to NO , 2 which can be aborbed by alkaline solution. Numerous studies indicate that Co, as the active component of the catalyst, has superior catalytic oxidation of NO and Co is the potential catalyst with efficient low-temperature activties. The activities of catalysts with different metal loading on ZrO were tested. Compared to other metal catalysts, CoO /ZrO catalytic has best 2 x 2 activity. The influence of Co loading, calcination temperature and carrier on conversion of NO were investigated. The results show that when the Co loading is 25% and the calcination temperature is 400 ℃ the Catalytic Oxidation of NO activity is best. When the space velocity is 20000-1, concentration of O2 is 10%, the
