M eth od s Using volume rendin g techn ology( VR) , multiplanar reconstruction ( MPR ) , an d maximum inten sity proj ection ( MIP) , which were sh ipp ed with the CTA software, diagn o ses of h ead an d neck vascular diseases were made in 71 cases that h ad received sp iral computed tomography an giog raphy( SCTA) examination s. R esu lt s Among the 7 1 cases, 26 were diagnosed as intracranial aneurysm, 9 cases as arteriovenous malformation , 2 0 cases as arteriostemosis, arteriosclerosis or vascular ob stru ction, 1 case as carotid b ody tumor . C on clu sion 16slice spiral computed tomography angiography could be u sed as the first ch oice in screen ing of head and neck vascu lar diseases.
