The decorative motif of the Qing Dynasty centers on the traditional auspicious patterns of China, while the motif of the Rococo style, which is heavily influenced by the Qing style, centers on the souvenir patterns of armor and pike shield. There also exist elements as a result of mutual influences from the perspective of the two decorative styles. The approximately parallel historical periods of the East and the West are given the name of the Age of Décor Worship, which is characterized by the aesthetic object of garnish exterior that defies functions.
