However, the shortcomings of over-reliance on traditional teaching materials –“teaching materials” is difficult to adopt the new curriculum for basic education. In this case, the education sector proposes to promote the creative use of materials-“materials used to teach”. Thus the idea of the textbook redevelopment is produced. The author once taught in a high school and experienced the teaching material reform, during which he realized the importance of the textbook redevelopment. So this paper takes the first chart Earth in the Universe in the geography textbook of the high school in China as an example to reveal the existing problems in the textbook and to stress the necessity of the textbook’s secondary development. Then it carries out on the basis of textbook redevelopment flow path. key
