The Oil Painting’s creation and development on local landscape Abstract There is a definition of “the painting of local landscape” in Chinese to foreign art question series that “the painting of local landscape” or “the painting about life flow” describes the real and reliable scene and shows the daily routine to spectators in the objective way. Painters express their own feelings by describing the scene of life and local landscape in their own style. The painting of local landscape is one of the most important parts in painting and also plays significant role in the historical status. Dating back to the sources of development and the status quos, it is the main research orientation of my essay. I am going to review the development, study the status quos and understand the practical significance under its mission. There are five parts in my essay. The first part is about the development of the painting of local landscape in foreign countries, including early origin, formal establishment and the fashionable period. In the second part, I illustrate the creation and the development of Chinese painting in detail. Its birth in earlier times, the situation in the early 20th century and the fast development are included. In the third part, I elaborate my own feelings, national feelings and folk cultures as the three elements, which have a great influence on the development of the painting of local landscape.
