However, the dye solution using sodium silicate and caustic soda as fixing alkali agents shows poor stability and easily generates silica scales in actual production, leading to low one-time success rate of dyeing. Many problems in cold pad-batch dyeing with reactive dyes have been effectively solved by analyzing the cold pad-batch dyeing mechanism and developing fixing alkali agents in dyeing solution with good stability. The production practice shows that fixing alkali agents play a very important role in cold pad-batch dyeing. They are able to effectively enhance the stability of reactive dye solution and one-time success rate of dyeing. And also the products present high color fastness and little color difference.
