College of Mechanical Vehicle Engineering, Hunan University, Changsha 410082, China) Abstract: An engine model with four cylinders turbocharged gasoline direct injection was built in the IFP-Engine library of the AMESim simulation software. The gasoline engine controller was built in the Matlab/Simulink software. The co-simulation was made to run the models in two different softwares respectively at the same time and the engine’s injection flow rate was effectively controlled. The results show that with the intelligent controller of the gasoline engine fuel control system, the air-fuel ratio fluctuates around 14.7, the maximum power of the gasoline engine is increased by 5.6% and the fuel consumption is reduced by 6.6%.
