英汉人名文化的对比分析
摘要:在社会交往中,人们对别人如何称呼自己是十分敏感的,称呼得当,能够使双方产生心理上的融洽,社会交往会进行得顺利、愉悦。然而,在中英不同文化环境的影响下,名字却存在着很大的差异。为了能使社交顺利愉悦的进行,研究英汉人名差异变得十分重要。
本文从四个部分入手。第一部分着重讲中英不同的文化对人名的影响。第二至四部分分别从形式、使用和功能方面入手,说明在两种不同文化中称呼方式的异大于同,并指出人们对称呼的定位也反应出不同文化的差异。
通过对英汉两种语言中人名的对比和分析,揭示英汉语言文化中人名差异的社会性,历史性,文化性和民族性。同时以客观的态度认真对待其他民族的文化传统、情感、价值观和生活方式等;注重交际中的文化内涵,可以帮助我们在进行语言沟通时少犯文化错误,增强理解程度,逐步提高跨文化交际的能力。

Contrast of the Name Between Chinese and English
Abstract
In the social interaction, people are very sensitive to what other people would call them. A proper appellation can make both sides be harmonious in mental, so that social interaction will be smooth and delighted. Because of different cultural environments between Chinese and English, there are many differences between their names. In order to make our social interaction smooth and delighted, it becomes very important to study their differences.
This paper can be divided into four parts. The first part tells that different culture environments influence their own names. The second, third, and fourth parts draw a cross-cultural contrast of names between Chinese and English and obtain a result that there are more differences than similarities in names between the Chinese and English form, usage and function.
it is necessary to know the difference of names between Chinese and English and make sure the historical background and cultural connotation, because it can help us improve the competence in cross-cultural communication, and decrease or even avoid cultural conflicts.
