Text B Smart Machines: Our Tireless helpers(5th ---6th class-hours ) Text-related Information AI(Artificial Intelligence，人工智能) 人工智能研究的一个主要目标是使机器能够胜任一些通常需要人类智能才能完成的复杂工作。Robot: A mechanical device that sometimes resembles a human being and is capable of performing a variety of often complex human tasks on command or by being programmed in advance. Summary of the Text People had been wandering whether we would construct machines as smart as human beings. This has gradually come into reality recently. A so-called “Dante” was built to carry out exploration in Antarctica volcano. Although Dante had not been faring处境 well in its mission, its builders were optimistic. Some were also concerned about smart machines, worried about their outwitting胜过human beings. Scientists had been sure that this would not happen, and they granted that the robots would be and remain as our tireless helpers.
