Probe Into the Maintenance of Tang Poetry’s Beauty in Translation from the Perspective of Deconstruction By Yang Xiangyun A 2010 Graduate of English Department of College of International Languages and Cultures, Nanjing 2100098, China Abstract: As the most intensive translation in literary transltion, poetic translation should also purposes on aesthetic appriciation. In order to arrive at the aim, appropriate rhetoric instruments, plentiful allusions and unique images and so forth are often adopted in poetry creation. Simultaneously, these rhetoric instruments, allusions and complex images make it hard in how to maintain the beauty of Tang poetry during translating. Taking Tang poetry as the research target, the essay sets out from the inspirations that deconstruction has on translation theories to explain how to maintain the beauty of Tang poetry: to break down the dualistic antinomy between the author and the translator; to show the translator’s own style adequately; to lay out the differences of source language and target language etc. and then this essay puts forward some corresponding translating skills on the basis of deconstruction. Key words: translation deconstruction Tang poetry sense of beauty 摘要:诗歌翻译是文学翻译的极高境界。诗歌文体以传情审美为主要目的。为最大限度地达到传情审美的目的,诗歌常常要运用恰当的修辞手段,独特的意象,丰富的典故等语言形式来获得这个审美的效果。同时,这些修辞手段,意象,典故等也为如何在翻译中维护唐诗的意美带来了一定的困难。本文从解构主义对翻译理论的启示出发,以唐诗为研究目标,阐述了如何最大限度地维护唐诗的意美,即:打破译者和作者之间的二元对立;充分体现译者在译作中的风格;展示目标语和源语的差异等等,并在解构主义基础上提出了对应的翻译策略。 关键词:翻译 解构主义 唐诗 意美 Thesis: deconstruction has inspirations on translation theories to explain how to maintain the beauty of Tang poetry: to break down the dualistic antinomy between the author and the translator; to show the translator’s own style adequately; to lay out the differences of source language and target language etc. and then this essay puts forward some corresponding translating skills on the basis of deconstruction. 1.
