Due to the effect of transfer, almost all the acquisition experience are related in several ways. In the English learning, since English and Chinese are different language systems and differ in many ways, negative transfer will emerge when Chinese students study English. On one hand, this phenomenon is related to the cognitive level of learners, on the other hand , it抯 bound up with students抮elevant ability development which teachers neglect in the teaching . This thesis explores the effect of negative transfer of Chinese on English learning, the teaching principles to prevent Chinese negative transfer, English learning strategies under Chinese transfer. Key Words: Chinese；negative transfer；English learning； English Teaching 论文摘要迁移是学习中的一种普遍现象，它广泛存在于知识、技能的学习中，也正是由于迁移的作用，所有的习得经验几乎都是以各种方式相互联系起来的。在英语学习中，英语和汉语属于不同语系,两种语言在很多方面存在差异导致了中国学生学习英语时负迁移现象的产生，一方面与学习者本人的认知水平有关，另一方面也与教学中忽视学生相关能力的培养有关。关键词汉语；负迁移；英语学习；教学Introduction Language transfer plays a vital role in the second or foreign language study. Since the culture differences between China and western countries, foreign language learners are often interfered by the negative language transfer. Moreover, these effects mainly are embodied in the differences of grammatical morpheme, vocabulary, syntax, and discourse. Therefore, we need to learn more about the language transfer to avoid much more serious transfer phenomena and search more effective teaching measures to decline it. At the same time, English teachers should learn lots of linguistic knowledge about second language acquisition and try your best to help English learners to get rid of the effect of negative transfer of native language. 1.
