TongjiU niversity, hanghai 200092, China) Abstract: Due to increasing number of the accidents for the construction and operation of largescale steel structures, risk assessment is becom ing more and more mi portant. The risk events and factors of largescale steel structures during construction and operation phase are identified and a model for risk evaluation is presented by fault tree analysis in accordance w ith the statistical resu lts of 109 steel structure accidents. Two case histories are stud ied for the risk evaluation and control of the Nanjing Zifeng h ighrise build ing and the hanghai Pudong airport T2 term inal bu ilding, respectively. An integrated risk m anagement softw are is developed to realize risk identification, assessment, evaluation, decision andmon itoring, asw ell as online risk evaluation.
