On Complicated and Confusing Dreamland ----A brief Comment on Inception Abstract: This article is mainly about the analysis of the dreamland. And it has some views about this movie of mine. The dreamland is related to the consciousness closely. In this movie, the director uses some suspenseful plot to make the audience pounder over. Layers dreamlands lead the audience into the interesting part of movie. Recording to the clue of this movie such as the totem, we can have a clear line to understand the movie. And the open ending also gives us a big place to imagine. Key words: the Inception, dreamland, layer, peg-top, dream-maker Firstly, I will give some views about this film. This film is closely around “dream”. This movie is a collection of science fiction, romance, action films and Nolan reach every aspect of it. Nolan is not satisfied with only science fiction and action film, so he increased the weight of emotion to deepen the connotation of this movie. Cobb’s burden of his love also drives the plot. He drops into the pain of his wife dying and can’t extricate himself. His wife, Mal, often appeared every time to destroy his mission. Actually, this is a reflection of his subconscious, namely mind evil. She is the subconscious of Cobb, and knows about the whole plan. But out of guilt, Cobb modeled Mal into the opposition. Hence, she became the significant threat to Cobb, even to the whole team, it is a lethal. At last, with the completion of mission, Cobb completed his own salvation. One of the key words in this movie is dreamland. This movie ranges from create the dreamland to unlock the dreamland, and from the first layer of dream to the forth layer of dream. The movie is adapted from the true science phenomenon. But in fact the dreamland’s creation is closely related to the consciousness of people. In this movie, dream is divided into several layers as well as the consciousness is divided into three kinds (Consciousness, preconsciousness and the subconscious)
