Nowadays, the DO insurance has been introduced to China, but it does not develop as desired. The purposes of this article are to make a deeper discussion of the USA DO insurance system thoroughly, and to discuss the principle of law of the DO insurance and the primary coverage of the DO insurance contract, in order to provide theoretical supports for the DO liability insurance development in China.
