Unit2 He was invited to competitions around the world 教学内容:Unit2 He was invited to competitions around the world. 课型:Reading and writing 教学目标: 2、能够读懂介绍刘翔的短文,获取主旨大意及相关细节信息。 3、能够掌握一般过去时被动语态的概念和用法。 4、能使用一般过去时被动语态写一篇短文介绍乒乓球运动员张怡宁。 5、通过学习,加深对我国体育运动状况和体育明星的了解,学习运动员顽强拼搏的精神。 教学重难点: 1、能够读懂介绍刘翔的短文,获取主旨大意及相关细节信息(重点)。 2、能使用一般过去时被动语态写一篇短文介绍乒乓球运动员张怡宁(难点)。 教学准备: 课堂整体运用任务型教学模式以及阅读课“四个阶段”教学模式。本课指导学生通过阅读获取信息,培养学生阅读技能。在教学过程中,采用多媒体手段辅助教学,利用各种图片和习题任务贯穿整个教学过程。因此,本节课需准备:PPT课件、挂图、录音机、课堂练习表格、奖品。 教学过程: 教学 步骤 教师活动 学生活动 设计意图 Step One Warming-up (3’) 1.Lead in (1)Have the students see a video about Liu Xiang. (2)Have a free talk about Liu Xiang. 1. (1)Enjoy the video about Liu Xiang. (2)Have a free talk about Liu Xiang. 让学生看一个关于刘翔比赛的录像,活跃了课堂气氛,并让学生快速进入本课的话题。 Step Two Pre- reading (5’) 1.Show students some pictures of Liu Xiang, have the students try to describe them and learn new words as well. 1.Look at the pictures ,try to describe them and learn some new words . 引导学生谈论图片,训练学生描述图片的能力。在描述的同时学习新单词和句型,尽量做到词不离句,为学生扫清阅读障碍。 Step Three While- reading (24’) Step Three While- reading (24’) 1. Scanning Have students scan the passage and find out the main idea of it(Activity2). 2. Skimming (1)Have students skim the passage and match the years with the notes to complete the timeline(Activity3) in pairs. (2)Call back the answers. (3) Have the students read the notes in order. 3.Careful reading. (1)Paragraph 1 ①Complete the sentences. ②Let the students read Paragraph 1 in groups of four and find out difficulties. ③Solve the difficulties. T: Was Liu Xiang a successful sportsman at first?Let’s continue and know more about him. (2)Paragraph 2-4: ①Choose the best anwers after reading Paragraph 2-4 . ②Ask a student to be “a little teacher” to check the answers. ③ Let students read Paragraph 2-4 in turn and the other students listen carefully to point out important points. ④Solve the difficulties. (3)Paragraph 5-6: ①Let the students read Paragraph5-6 and check T or F in pairs. ②
