School of Business, Guangxi University, Nanning Guangxi 530004, China) Abstract: The upper reach of Li River Basin is the main water source forest area in Li River Basin. It is also an important ecological safety barrier for Li River scenic spot. With the help of ArcGIS and ENVI software, two sets of remote sensing images of the upper reach of Li River Basin in year 2002 and 2013 were interpreted. This paper analyzes the changes and the human driving forces of the land use type structure in Upper reach of Li River Basin.The results show that: Land use structure in upper reach of Li River Basin is stable in year 2002 and 2013. Upper reach of Li River Basin is maintained a good ecological environment. Overall speaking, arable land and woodland are the main types of land use type. Land use and forest cover change present the trend that arable land and woodland are decreasing, while grassland, wetland and artificial surf
