Methods 24 patients in our hospital diagnosed with achalasia, were randomly divided into observation group of 12 cases, 12 cases in the control group, the observation group was treated with eye acupuncture combined with thunder fire spinit needle, the control group was given nifedipine treatment. The subjective indexes, Eckaxdt score, objective index, diameter of esophageal dilatation and resting pressure of the lower esophageal sphincter were recorded respectively in 2 groups after treatment a month. Results The subjective and objective indexes of the 2 groups were significantly improved after treatment, and the curative effect of the observation group was better than that of the control group (P 0.05) . Conclusion Treatment of achalasia of the cardia by eye acupuncture combined with thunder fire spinit needle can obviously improve the subjective and objective indicators, and it is safe and effective.
