It emancipates the traditional modeling design mode w ith its unique codes and conveys the w hole de sign idea. T his paper presents the application, meaning and classification of bionic design and clarifies that it has become an important approach to directing automobile modeling design. Bionic design not only constructs the harmonious coexistence betw een man and material, man and nature, and man and society, but it also expands the w ay of automobile modeling design w ith new mode.
