Chapter Two: Aligning Projects with Organization Strategy 2.1:Overview综述 Strategy is implemented through projects. Every projects should have a clear link to organization strategy.战略是通过项目来实施的,每个项目都应和组织战略有明确的联系。 (23-1-1) Many managers can’t identify a project’s priority and link it with the strategic plan.(23-3-1) Every project should contribute value to the organization’s strategic plan, which is designed to meet the future needs of its customers.每个项目均应对组织的战略计划有所贡献,这些战略是为了满足客户未来的需求而制定的。(23-3-2) How can an organization ensure this link and alignment? The answer requires integration of projects with the strategic plan. This participation is good for several reasons. (24-3-1) First, involvement gives the project manager an overall perspective of the organization focus, which typically leads to professional growth and more reasoned decisions. Second, experienced project managers can provide valuable insights concerning organizational capabilities and resource constraints. Next, each project manager can see his or her project in relation to other projects. Finally, awareness of the selection criteria and process facilitates reassignment of resources and priorities among projects in a less hostile manner. Hence, project managers find it valuable to have a keen understanding of strategic management and project selection processes. 项目经理正发现自己是这一过程中的一部分,越来越深入地卷入到制定战略计划和项目选择过程中去。基于多种原因,这种参与是有益的。
