(1)set up意为“建起;设立”。 如:A fund will be set up for the dead mens families. 抚恤死难工人家属的基金会即将建立起来。 (2)disabled意为“丧失能力的;有残疾的”既可以做表语也可以做定语。 如:Employers are being encouraged to hire disabled workers. 雇主受鼓励雇用残废的工人。 Now that he was disabled, his house had become a prison to him. 因为他残废了,他的房子就成了他的牢笼。 Language points Language points 2. Lucky makes a big difference to my life. make a difference意为“影响;有作用”。 如:Does his absence make a difference to your work? 没有他,会影响你的工作吗?
