Unit 6 When was it invented? The First Period Section A 1a–2c Teaching aims(教学目标) 一、通过学习,熟练掌握以下词汇:style, project, pleasure, mention 二、通过问答,掌握以下句型: 1. A: When was the telephone invented? B: I think it was invented in 1876. 2. A: What are they used for? B: They’re used for seeing in the dark. 三、1.正确运用被动语态谈论重要的发明的历史和用途。 2.掌握一般过去时态的被动语态, 由 was/were +过去分词构成。学会单词invent, 以及be used for 的用法 四、通过熟悉我们周围经常使用发明物的历史来开阔眼界,丰富自己的阅历,使自己养成勤于思考,善于总结的好习惯。 (本节课的生词较少,而且单词的拼写比较简单,所以学生学起来不会感到困难,如果班级学生的水平较高,可以鼓励学生当堂掌握。) Difficulties(难点):被动语态/be used for 的用法。 Teaching steps(教学步骤) 1. Warm-up and revision(课堂热身和复习) (1)Discuss in groups:Which do you think is the most useful invention? (2) Discuss in groups: In what order do you think they were invented? A: I think the TV was invented before the car. B: Well, I think the TV was invented after the car. 教学设计说明:利用图片引出话题, 创设情景 ,激活学生思维。 2. Presentation(呈现新知识) Work on 1b. Listen and answer: Which inventions are they talking about ? Listen again and match the inventions with the years. 3. 再听一遍录音,选择方框中合适的短语完成下面的对话。 Alice: Was your life very difficult when you were a kid? Grandma: Oh, not really. Why? Alice: Well, you didn’t ___________ like a telephone, right? Grandma: Of course we did! How old do you think I am? The telephone was invented in 1876. You ___________, Alice! Alice: Ha, ha!
