Lesson plan Good morning, ladies and gentlemen. The content of my lesson is from Fun with English 8B Module 2 Unit 6 A Charity Walk, the first period of reading. My lesson plan includes five parts Analysis of the teaching material, the teaching methods, the study methods, the teaching procedures and the lay out of blackboard writing. Part I Analysis of the teaching material The lesson is chosen from 8B Module 2 Rights and Responsibilities. The whole module is about charity, which tells the students something about charity shows and two major international charity organizations ORBIS and Oxfam. According to the standard curriculum and the syllabus, students are required to combine the language knowledge with learning skills. Based on all those have been talked, the teaching aims are as follows: 1. Knowledge Objectives: Students are enabled to get familiar with the text, get the main idea of the whole text and have knowledge of the detailed information. Enable the students to remember the following new words phrases: Group/tough/within/hill/mountain/excellent/spirit Group…into/team spirit/at least/in deed/take place 2. Ability Objectives: Develop students the ability to guess the meaning of words, phrases and sentences and make some simple inquires and answer the questions about the text. Cultivate students the ability of summarization, description, reading and comprehensive ability of using a language. 3. Emotional Objectives: Help students to understand the background information of Oxfam trail walk. Enable the students to be aware of their rights and responsibilities to help others in need. 4. Key points: Understanding of the text and some new words, phrases Improve students’ reading skills Talk about the process of Oxfam trail walk. 5.
