Here we define the intersection conflict points are the sum of the two merging traffic flows. That is: Where C are the conflict points integrated by flow 1 and flow 2; Q1 are Q2 respectively the traffic volume of flow 1 and flow 2. For an unsignalized intersection with two directions, i=1,2,3,4 represent the four entrances, while j=L,S,R represent left-turn traffic, straight traffic and right-turn traffic. Obviously, the accident rates and delays of the intersection will increase, so the left-turn prohibition measure is not suitable. However; if ⊿C0, the intersection conflict points will decrease after setting left-turn prohibition measures. It will be more safely and unhindered for vehicles travelling, so the measure is suitable. * The traffic volume and vehicles operate directions are shown in the figure. The road network meet the needs for left-turn prohibited traffic complete turning. The travel speed 、detour distances are given. The conversion coefficient of travel time and conflict points is @=0.167 numbers per second. * We can seen from Tab. that when one left-turn direction is forbidden, such as entrance1 or entrance3.
